The theme of the lesson: “We are swimming.”

The aims of the lesson:

  1. Educational: to introduce the structure ‘We are eating ’, to revise ‘What are they doing?’, to enrich children’s vocabulary;
  2. Developing: to develop children’s listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through introduction of the new words;
  3. Bringing up: to bringing up children to be attentive, to motivate their interest to study English.

The procedure of the lesson.

  1. Organization moment:
  • Good afternoon, children!
  • Good afternoon, teacher!
  • I’m glad to see you. Thank you. Sit down, please.
  1. Warm up:

Let’s begin our lesson with sing a song “Bobby’s wearing red boots”.  Stand up, please. Listen to attentively.

  • Checking of the home task

I want to check your home task. It was to read What am I doing? Let’s read the text line by line. Now, who wants to read the text?

  1. Introducing of the new theme

Today we have a new theme “We are swimming”. We are going to take new words. Look at the blackboard and repeat after me.

Open your Pupils’  Book at page 86. Look at the picture.

Now, children look at the board and listen to attentively.

Now, who wants go to the board and to write it?



  1. Relaxing moment

It’s time to rest. We will play a guessing game. I need one pupil. Who wants to go to the board? You, please. Take your bag and come up to me. You must guess What Ernar has in his bag. It may be toy, classroom object or animal. You will ask the question.

Open your diaries and write down your home task. Your task will be Ex1,2p98 from WB,  write five sentences about the Present Continuous, to read p86 from PB, to learn new words by heart.
