What do you want to be

The aims of the lesson:  a) to practice pupils in monological and dialogical speech, to teach pupils to work creatively and introduce new words, expressions according to the theme;

  1. b) to enrich the pupils’ knowledge with new words, to improve pronunciation and develop oral speech;
  2. c) to bring up pupils’ interests in any professions and to widen their scope, to help them to love and respect foreign languages, to teach the pupils to share.

Methods: question – answer, complex work, songs, rhymes.

Subject connection: Music, Arts, Mathematics, Kazakh, Russian.

Visual aids: an interactive board, pictures.

Points of the lesson: I Organization moment:

Today we’ll have new lesson. As you know, on the 16th of December we’ll celebrate the Independence Day. That’s why your good and correct answers will be your present for this holiday. Good luck!

Before beginning our lesson let’s revise the ABC. There are snowballs with the numbers; if you find the letters under these numbers we’ll read the theme of our lesson.

“WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE?”

You are clever. Write down on the theme.

A doctor: “tick, tick, tick!” what does it sound like? May be it is a heart.

Who treats the sick people?

Of course, a doctor. If you do morning exercises every day you’ll be healthy pupils. So let’s do the phonetic exercises for the sound [k].

“Tick”, the clock says, “Tick, tick, tick! What you have to do? Do quick!”

A teacher: a human which you can see at school. She can work with every pupils and she loves them.

An engineer: He wants to ask the time. If your answers are correct the clock goes on, if they are wrong – the clock stops.

Give me own sentences using the time.

A painter: I know that you are good painters. But I can’t draw well that’s why my picture is not so good as yours. Help me please. Match the numbers and we’ll see a nice flower. Then you must paint that flower. Who knows a poem about the colores. (asking 3-4pupils)

I wander, who is this woman? Do you know her? She is Roza Rymbaeva. She is a famous singer of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Let’s sing a song. “Clap your hands”.

Now, children let’s repeat all this professions. As you see all the professions are good. Write them down, please.

Home task: Your home task is to write your brother’s, sister’s, mother’s, father’s professions. Ex: 11,13 p:41
